Announcing the European Riichi Mahjong Marathon 2024
We are proud to host the European Riichi Mahjong Marathon once again, building on the success of our events since 2016. This year-long competition is organized into five seasons, adhering to the European Riichi Rules (RCR, Riichi EMA rules).
Annually, this thrilling event attracts over 1,100 participants from 40 countries. We're excited to continue this legacy and invite even more enthusiasts to join us in 2024.

No pre-registration required. The tournament begins as soon as four players are ready at the table.

Scoring
Season Winner: Score calculation is based on the average of (Average TS + Average TS Best 10 Games) / 2.
The marathon's ultimate winner is determined by the highest Rank Points from their best 4 seasons out of 5.
Resolving Ties
In case of a tie, the player with more games played during the marathon ranks higher. If still tied, the higher Mahjong Time rating prevails.
Game Disqualification
Tables where a player is absent for 50 or more moves are disqualified, with fees refunded to active players.
Player Disqualification
Leaving a table for another game? Exit the current table first. Absence for more than 50 moves may lead to temporary or permanent disqualification from the marathon.
Tournament Organizers reserve the right to disqualify players at their discretion for any future events organized by Mahjong Time.
